Mamma Africa — Tanzania Journey

Mamma Africa Calls follows a journey through Tanzania, family memory, and the archive.

Three grandchildren and a close family friend retrace the journey of Ralph and Gertrude Hult to the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro a century earlier. The documentary and archival project brings together places, photographs, letters, films, and recollections from the intertwined histories of the Hult and Trobisch families.
