- Paper (3-5 pages):
- Go to http://bible.oremus.org/
(or other web site), copy the the NRSV text and produce a worksheet that
puts Mk 2:1-9 next to Mt 9:1-8. Highlight the passages that are
different.
- NEWInterpret Mk 2:1-12 with Mt 9:1-8 on the background of the Two-Source
Theory.
- What did Matthew change?
- Why did Matthew change it?
- Produce a list of resources that you have access to at home, in your
library, or electronically. Group them in three categories.
- Bibles (different translations and editions)
- Commentaries (Old and New Testament)
- Introductions to the Bible providing scholarly background
information
- Read the introduction to the Nestle-Aland, Greek-English NT, pages
7*-14* and try to understand the critical signs in the Greek text of Mk 1:1.
